Đậu Homemade’s new home, located at 42 Nguyen Truong To Street, Xom Chieu Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, has a character all its own. Instead of the spacious three- or four-story corner buildings that many guests have come to know, this new space embraces a more intimate atmosphere. The familiar yellow walls and black-tiled roof have given way to a cozier setting that feels even closer to the spirit of old Hanoi.

At Đậu Homemade – 42 Nguyen Truong To, we have preserved most of the original architecture of the house. The single-story layout, black metal roof, wooden doors, and warm yellow walls create the timeless charm that defines Đậu.
In the afternoon, sunlight filters gently through the trees, filling the space with soft natural light and a peaceful, poetic atmosphere.

Inside, you’ll find rows of handcrafted wooden tables, specially commissioned to capture the authentic warmth and simplicity of Hanoi. Traditional cloud-inspired decorative motifs add subtle cultural touches throughout the space, while Đậu’s signature water puppets complete the experience, celebrating a cherished part of Vietnamese heritage.

Though more intimate in size, the restaurant is fully air-conditioned, offering a cool and comfortable dining experience throughout the day.
Located just a two-minute walk from our former location at 104 Hoang Dieu, the new restaurant remains just as convenient for our regular guests. Office workers from nearby buildings such as Dinh Le, ETown, and surrounding offices can still stop by easily to enjoy their favorite Northern Vietnamese dishes.

The house may be new, but the flavors remain exactly as our guests remember them.
Our signature Bún Đậu Mắm Tôm platter with whipped fermented shrimp paste, the steaming Crab Hotpot with Beef Shank and Pork Cartilage, crispy Bánh Gối, West Lake-style Shrimp Cakes, Fried Fermented Pork Rolls, and sweet homemade desserts are all carefully prepared by the Đậu kitchen with the same dedication, craftsmanship, and attention to detail that have been cherished for years.

We warmly invite you to visit Đậu Homemade’s new home at 42 Nguyen Truong To Street, Xom Chieu Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. We look forward to welcoming you with the familiar flavors and heartfelt hospitality that have always made Đậu feel like home.
