As the restaurant’s signature dish, Đậu Homemade serves five variations of vermicelli with tofu and shrimp paste:
Special Homemade : A full tray with rice vermicelli, crispy tofu, grilled pork sausage, young sticky rice sausage, squid cake, pork leg, and pork belly marinated with galangal. Generous serving for 2–3 people.

Boiled Pork & Sausage Combo: Traditional set with vermicelli, tofu, boiled pork leg, and young sticky rice sausage. Great for 1 person.

And of course, no tray is complete without a bowl of whipped shrimp paste, mixed with calamansi and chili—authentic Northern style.
For vegetarians, Đậu Homemade also offers a tofu & vermicelli version with soy sauce.
Besides vermicelli, Đậu Homemade’s menu is packed with over 30 Hanoi favorites, especially best-sellers like:
Fried fermented pork roll (Nem chua rán)
Pork-stuffed snails steamed with ginger leaves
Crab spring rolls
Boiled or fried pork intestines
“Giả cầy” vermicelli (pork cooked in galangal & fermented rice)…
Every dish is carefully prepared by Đậu’s chefs, bringing out the rich and authentic taste of Hanoi.

A Hanoi-style hotpot much loved at Đậu Homemade. The broth is savory, slightly sour, made from pork bones, ground field crabs, and rice vinegar. Fresh ingredients are dipped in the broth: beef brisket, cartilage ribs, snail sausage, pork head terrine, fried tofu, fresh vegetables… and of course, the signature clay pot of crab paste with crispy shallots and pork cracklings.

It may seem unexpected, but sweet soups are a highlight at Đậu Homemade. Cooked fresh daily, each bowl offers a gentle sweetness, fragrant aroma, and rich texture—true to homemade style.

A unique experience you can’t miss at Đậu Homemade is water puppetry. Đậu is the first and only restaurant with live water puppet shows. The mini stage was created by Founder Hoàng Hương Giang, and the performers are none other than Đậu’s very own staff.
Shows are usually held on weekends or can be booked for groups of 15+. Best of all, admission is completely free—no tickets required.
